H.O.O.S.
Horned Owls Outdoor Studies
is a committee comprized of Oakmont staff and parents dedicated to help fund outdoor study programs  about the different biomes. 

Currently the 4th grade class goes on the Starry Safari. Hosted by the Palm Desert Living Museum, this overnight trip is all about the desert and the plants and animals that live there.

The 5th grade attend a three day, two night trip to Santa Cruz Island to experience island life after reading the book "Island of the Blue Dolphins".

The 6th graders spend an entire week in the Wrightwood forest science camp.

New adventures are being deveoped for kindergarten through 3rd grades.

Hands on activities is a great way to learn about the earth's envirements.
