The Amount of Homeless People in This World

     Hello classmates and parents. I would like to talk to you today about how to make the world a better place. There are so many ways to help one another but, but a huge way to make a huge difference is to do something about the amount of homeless people in this world. Did you know there's an estimate of 3.5 million people are homeless, and there's 2.8 billion people who live on less than $2.00 every single day of their miserable lives. All of us in this classroom should be grateful for even being here. The worst thing I think for homeless people is that most homeless people are runaways. A survey done by the national Runaway Switchboard indicates that 16 percent of runaways have been abused physically, emotionally, or sexually, are now homeless.

     Note to parents, if your teen or child runs away, call the police. Don't wait, just do it!       

     Everyone can do little things to help, you can bring, blankets, clothes, and food to a homeless shelter and thing you can do is find a shelter if you find a homeless. Whenever you see a homeless don't just stare, help.
