   Welcome back!  There are plenty of things happening in Room 17 everyday.  We have started working on our thematic novel called The Great Gilly Hopkins.  We will be reading and writing using this novel.  We are working on Spellathon words right now for the Spelling program, and the program is the same as my regular program.  The Math program is moving according to schedule, which means all three teachers continue to team to teach math.  We are studying Greek culture in Social Studies, and we are still working on the idea of erosion and weathering in Science. 

    Thanks to all parents who donated things to the classroom or me before the holidays.  Also, the parents who work in my class are wonderful!  Thanks for that help!  Furthermore, the voluntary donations for Science Camp are now being accepted.  See me for more details.
