LA Zoo Field Trip

 

A visit to the Los Angeles Zoo will enrich our science and social studies curriculum. While viewing the animals and plants, we will discover more about life cycles, habitats, and food chains. We also learn about different jobs we can have when we grow up, such as being a zoo veterinarian, an animal trainer, or a volunteer who takes care of the baby animals in the nursery.

Here are some amazing facts! Did you know that the hippopotamus can open its mouth 180 degrees, or that the L.A. Zoo has a breeding program for endangered species such as the California condor?
