Welcome to my new website! I am Annette Reed, afternoon Kindergarten teacher at Chaparral Elementary School in Claremont, CA. This is my fourth year at Chaparral and as a Kindergarten teacher and I love it! Previously I taught 2nd and 1st grades.

I have been teaching in one way or another for over 20 years. First as a preschool teacher, then as a mom, then as a G.A.T.E. teacher, then as a substitute teacher, and now as a full-time classroom teacher. I have always found pleasure being around and working with children.

When I'm not teaching, I spend my time hiking, traveling with my family, spending time in my garden, going to the movies and reading. I have two wonderful teenage children of my own, and a great husband.

My classroom is an exciting place to learn. It is child-centered and a safe place for children to learn. Parent volunteers are encouraged to come and help. The students are treated with respect and expected to treat others the same way.
