Chaparral's First and Second Graders had a unique opportunity to work with Volunteer Extraordinaire, Joe Schreiber, in making pottery.  Mr. Schreiber demonstrated his talents on how to "throw a pot" using a pottery wheel and then, with the help of many parent volunteers, each student was able to make either a butterfly or dinosaur.  The teachers, parents and students loved this project so much, the PFA purchased a new kiln and enough clay so all students in grades K– 6 will have an opportunity to make pottery and memories next year!!
